S. Sgt Orien K Phipps
S. Sgt. Phipps was in Company L, 337th Infantry and was wounded on Sept 18, 1944 but was able to return to the company on Sept 27th. He was then more seriously wounded again on October 3, 1944 at Casoni de Romagna, where he lost one of his legs. The attached excerpts from the September and October Company L morning reports show how the Army reported his transfer to a hospital.
